Dubbed, "The President's Show", the event which is the brainchild of President John Agyekum Kufuor, formed part of activities marking the nation's Golden Jubilee and was organized under the auspices of the Ghana @ 50 Secretariat.

As early as 1800 hours, the forecourt of the CNC was awash with many people from all walks of life that had turned up at the event to enjoy live performances by their favourite gospel, hi-life and hip-life artistes.

Among the musicians who performed and were backed on stage by the Owoahene Music Band included Obuor, Daddy Lumba, C K Mann, A B Crentsil, Sydney, Reggie Rockstone and Mr Borax.

The rest were Amandzeba Nat Brew, Nana Tuffour, Noble Nketia, Prince Nana Tuffour of TV3 mentor fame and Lady Prempeh. The event reached a climax when Agya Koo, arguably the most popular Ghanaian actor at the moment, stormed the stage and treated the audience to some funny jokes and songs to the admiration of all.

Members of the audience mostly clad in the red, yellow and green flag of Ghana could not help but burst into laughter as Agya Koo, dressed in a military uniform gave a repertoire of jokes that has made him a household name in the country.

The audience also took to the stage and danced their hearts out when Sydney took his turn on the stage to give a live performance of his song titled "Scent No".

Similar treat was given to musicians like Obuor, Reggie Rockstone, A B Crentsil and Daddy Lumba when they all took their turns to perform on stage.Source:
